Artwork Requirements

Last updated: August 18, 2026

You may create a custom stamp by submitting typed text, uploading artwork, or providing both. Uploading a file is optional when your stamp only requires text.

Accepted submissions

You may submit:

  • Text typed into the order-instructions field
  • JPG or JPEG images
  • PNG images
  • PDF files
  • Microsoft Word DOC or DOCX files
  • A viewable Google Docs or Google Drive link

If your file format is not listed, contact us before ordering.

Google Docs and Google Drive

Google Docs cannot normally be uploaded as a standard file. Open the document, select Share, set access to “Anyone with the link can view,” copy the link, and paste it into the order-instructions field. Do not give us your Google password or other account credentials. We must be able to open the link without requesting access. Restricted or unavailable links may delay production.

Preferred artwork quality

Submit the highest-resolution version available, approximately 300 DPI or greater at the intended reproduction size. Use dark artwork on a light or transparent background with clean edges and strong contrast. Use vector artwork when available, and avoid screenshots, compressed thumbnails, or photographs of printed artwork when an original file is available.

Low-resolution artwork may appear blurry or uneven when enlarged. We will make reasonable efforts to identify major quality issues before production.

Word documents

DOC and DOCX files are accepted, but formatting can change on another device or during conversion. Identify the desired font, include a PDF reference when exact placement matters, use high-resolution embedded images, avoid unusual fonts, and review the proof carefully.

Text-only stamps

A file upload is not required. Type the exact wording in the order-instructions field, including capitalization, punctuation, line breaks, dates, numbers, and spelling. You may also describe alignment or layout preferences.

Fonts

Provide the required font’s name. When possible, convert specialized lettering to outlines or submit it as a high-resolution image. If the font is unavailable or unsuitable for the selected size, we will use a similar font or contact you.

Design size and proportions

Artwork must fit within the imprint area of the selected stamp size. We may proportionally resize it. Designs with a substantially different shape may leave empty space; we will not intentionally stretch or distort a logo unless requested.

Fine details

Very small text, thin lines, intricate details, photographs, gradients, shadows, and low-contrast elements may not reproduce clearly. We may recommend simplifying the design, increasing line thickness, enlarging text, or removing fine details. Material adjustments will be shown in the proof.

Colors and photographs

A stamp uses the single ink color selected for the order. Full-color artwork will be converted to a single-color design. Gradients, transparency, photographic shading, and multiple colors may require simplification. Screen colors are not an exact representation of physical stamp ink.

Orientation

Artwork is normally prepared so the resulting impression reads correctly. The physical printing surface may appear reversed, as is normal for a stamp. The proof represents the intended impression on paper, not necessarily the printing surface.

Proof controls production

The approved proof is the final production reference. Review it carefully even when you supplied finished artwork. Minor manufacturing adjustments may be necessary, but we will not knowingly make a material design change after approval without contacting you.

Rights to submitted artwork

By submitting text, logos, signatures, photographs, documents, or artwork, you confirm that you created it or have permission to reproduce it, and that production will not violate another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights. We may refuse unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, threatening, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate content.

Privacy and sensitive information

Only submit information needed to create the stamp.
